Subject	Need help on plastic trunk trim nuts

Message	I'm missing a few nuts that hold the plastic trim pieces in the trunk area. The closest nut size I found in the hardware stores and auto parts is M6 X 1.0 pitch. However, when I tried to screw them, it get stuck 1/4 way down. I have tried multiple mounting points and I know that the threads are not crossed. Does anyone know what's the correct size ? I really don't want to spend $1.50 per nut at the dealership. Any help would be greatly appreciated !
